30 metres fast interceptor Boat

The interceptor boats are 90 tonnes and can achieve a maximum speed of 40 knots. The interceptor boats has full aluminium-alloy hull for reduced weight and is powered by twin water-jet propulsion systems to enable quick response. The vessels are fitted with state-of-the-art navigation and communication equipment and medium-range armament. Each vessel is powered by two Caterpillar Marine Power Systems 3516C marine propulsion engines (2525 bkW @ 1800 rpm, ‘D’ Rating) and two C-4.4 auxiliary generator sets (86 eKW @ 1500 rpm). The water-jets for the high-speed interceptor boats are being supplied by MJP. They are also fitted with MARIS ECDIS900 SmartLine Mk10 Flat Panel Computer with radar kit.

The vessel's crew consists of one officer and eleven personnel and are designed to perform coastal surveillance, search and rescue, anti-smuggling and anti-poaching operations in close coast and can also operate effectively in shallow water.

26 meter fast interceptor Boat

They are wide aluminium hulled water jet propelled vessels for operations in close coastal and shallow waters. They Have an endurance of 500 nautical miles at 25 knots and capable of doing high speed up to 45 knots and are fitted with a 12.7 mm ‘Prahari’ Heavy Machine Gun (HMG). They have a crew of eleven enrolled personnel, with one officer and ten sailors.

13 meter fast interceptor Boat

The 12-tonne vessel is built of glass-reinforced plastic, has a length of 13 metres with maximum draught at full load 0.90 m and has a bulletproof cabin. It has a water-jet propulsion giving high speed and ability to operate in shallow water. The vessel endurance is 75 nautical miles and can further cover 25 nautical miles with the help of reserved fuel. The vessel can travel at the maximum speed of 35 nautical miles per hour. The boats are highly seaworthy, unsinkable type (having 10% reserve buoyancy even when filled with water) and are able to sustain operation up to sea state 3 in open sea and also in breaking sea waves near the coast while in shallow water. The vessel is equipped with ultra modern navigation and GPS (Global Positioning System) and can carry a crew of 4 with patrol party of 16. It has facilities for mounting light machine guns and other weapons on board.

10 metres fast interceptor Boat

This 9.60 meter in length, have weight of 5 tonnes and is capable of operating at 35 knots on full load. It have maximum draught of 0.65 m at full load. It can carry four crew members along with a patrolling party of 10 persons and is equipped with life saving, fire fighting and communication facilities. The boat is fitted with two outboard motors of 275 hp each for propulsion and manoeuvring.

8-10 metres fast interceptor Boat

Thes interceptor boats are 8-10 meter long boats, carry a crew of 4 and are lightly-armed. They are waterjet-propelled and have a top speed of 45 knots. They are also fitted with night vision devices, communication equipment, automatic identification system (AIS) and radar, besides carrying a Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD), a sonic weapon used for scaring pirates away. They are intended for intercepting suspicious boats for inspection and verification
